Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2025

Anvaya Maps is a passion project dedicated to India's heritage. By using this website, you agree to these terms, which basically boil down to "be cool."

1. Acceptable Use

You are free to read, explore, and use the maps for your travels. Please do not try to hack the site, spam the servers, or scrape the content to clone it. This runs on a limited budget; let's keep it usable for everyone.

2. Accuracy Disclaimer

This is a historical documentation project, not a government survey. While I strive for accuracy, history is messy and sources often conflict.

If you travel to a location based on this map and find the temple is closed, under renovation, or actually 5km down the road—I am not liable for your gas money. Travel in India requires patience; use these maps as a guide, not gospel.

3. User Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login secure. I reserve the right to ban users who are abusive or try to exploit the platform.

4. Intellectual Property

The code, design, and original photography are mine. The historical facts belong to the world. You cannot take the photos or curated descriptions from this site and use them for commercial purposes without asking first.

5. Service Availability

The service is provided "as is." If the site goes down for maintenance or because I broke something while pushing an update at 2 AM, I'll fix it as soon as I can. I am not liable for any data loss regarding your saved lists.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled in Gurugram, Haryana.
